The Liberty POST Center for Speech, located in Rochester, NY, is dedicated to finding the right treatment to help your child reach their speech goals. We provide apraxia assessments and treatment using the highly effective PROMPT© method as well as TalkTools: A Sensory Motor approach to Apraxia of Speech. Our multi-step, individualized approach allows each student to achieve his or her maximum verbal communicative potential. What is PROMPT©?
PROMPT© is a Speech and Language technique that is different than traditional Speech Therapy treatments. PROMPT© certified and trained therapists place their hands gently on a child’s face to help them properly develop the production of speech sounds and words. PROMPT© clinicians target words that are relevant and motivating for each child. It implements a multi-dimensional therapy approach that looks at social-emotional, cognitive and linguistic understanding, as well as physical sensory ability.
Who does PROMPT© Therapy work best for?
Many children with overall motor speech delays, apraxia/dyspraxia, dysarthria, pervasive development disorders, cerebral palsy, acquired brain injuries, and autism spectrum disorders have benefitted from PROMPT© therapy. Children who have minimal speech progression with traditional speech therapy treatments may also benefit from PROMPT© Therapy.

DIRECT THERAPY - Our clinicians work directly with your child one on one.
CONSULTATION THERAPY – We work with your child’s current speech therapist to model select sounds and words using the appropriate PROMPT© technique.
We provide services at our CENTER, in your HOME and at your child's SCHOOL.
